This isn't the place for this sort of idiotic post.

Take it to the fight club.

Or more importantly, if you have no point to make, no serious question to ask, or nothing humourous or well thought out to add, then it's probably best to not bother posting in the first place.

Or on reflection, have I just been trolled?:pDT_Xtremez_40:

(Edited to add that at least Freebass's post was mildly funny, written in proper English, and contained punctuation and grammar! Take note "Ben").

Traffic wardens how original :pDT_Xtremez_25:
Our trade carries out regular sessions of continuation training, normally on rest days but we are not complaining. I am fully custody trained from my time in NI and put this training to good use regularly and also put together training sessions for my colleagues. We do a job that unfortunately doesnt endear us to our customers, but to be fair if you are a customer of mine then you have probably done something wrong, so aslong as I am polite and fair I dont give a stuff if you like me:pDT_Xtremez_30: The other kind of customers are victims and I have never received a complaint about the way I have dealt with them, those I do give a stuff about.

Its getting a bit boring answering these inane questions about my trade and trying to defend what I do, but I will continue to do so because at the end of the day I am proud of my chosen trade and the majority of people in it. Every trade has its numpties, eh ben??

The people in the RAF are spoilt when it comes to policing, you ask people in civvie street if they see coppers patrolling as much as you see RAF Coppers patrolling the MQ Patch, I can guarantee they dont. If you have a problem with something a copper has done or failed to do, then report it instead of coming onto the web and bleating about how the whole trade are traffic wardens!

All you ever see is traffic wardens, I havent issued a parking ticket in over a year as I would rather speak to the owner in person and explain why the car should not be there. Can people stop painting a whole trade in a bad light, when you never get to hear about most of the jobs we do and can do.

Rant over:pDT_Xtremez_28:

Don't be biting so much Chip. As I said above, this should exist in fight club if at all.

It's not for us (whatever trade) to justify our many and varied, and specialised jobs to a stroker. You'll never change his mind.

Leave him to it, hopefully the buffoon will go away.
(By the way, check out his other posts, he slags Rocks, Scopies, Suppliers, WRAFS, we're not the only ones!)

Two words: Oxygen thief.

Best regards.

By the way Chip, you didn't used to own an old Peugeot 205 at your first unit did you? I get the feeling we've worked together at some hole or other around the Huntingdon area mid to late 90's.

Unfortunately some people dont take time to read the guidelines that Wobbly has taken time to produce mate. Maybe they are blinded by their rage towards us whitecaps, after all the wrongdoings we have enacted upon their ancestors :pDT_Xtremez_31:

Skevs,

Whitecap (as I'm sure you're already aware, I won't teach grandad to suck eggs!) has long been our RAF Radio callsign since the 70's, maybe before. I'm not sure of the exact origin apart from the hat! However it seems to have stuck as a rarely used (and nice, I feel) nickname.
Snowdrop is much earlier. Again I feel it is quite a "nice" nickname... However I chatted to an old 1940s RAFA member at a meeting recently and he asked me "Do the RAF still call you lot Snowdrops these days?"
I told him that, to my understanding, it was a light hearted, old fashioned nickname, rarely used these days.
He stated that in his day, "Snowdrop" was the height of bad manners, never uttered in the presence of a white hatted, curfew enforcing, battledress and white webbing wearing member of the King's finest Station Standing order enforcers!
I didn't have the heart to tell the old gentleman that these days, snowdrop and indeed "scuffer" is considered fairly polite.
I omitted to mention the words c**t, t**t, and w*nker.

Oh how times have changed eh?

Best regards

My fav I've been called so far.......

''You fcuking blonde nazi rapist ''

Hmm, maybe I can understand that in your current employment!?!
I'm not sure which force you are with tigger, but as I say, I understand the names applied. (The Gen public are as loving of their police force as the RAF are of it's own, as you well know! Probably worse even!)

I've never been called a rapist, but how does a traffic chasing crime dodging w*nker grab you?
(Earned whilst serving the RAFG community as traffic during 1993, breathalysing a certain LBH armourer who failed his breath test by a long way!)

Ouch!

I had a laugh about it.......

all the way back to the nick, with said idiot in the back of the van wearing my cuffs . In fairness, once he came down off the drugs, he apologised.

I never fail to be amazed by drunken idiots who can't keep their mouths shut.
