Some help appreciated again peeps.

Just bought a Vodafone PAYG dongle to get some connectivity as I am on my travels and 3 has again proved wnak. My issue here is the OpenDNS fcukin Nanny program that would seem to be included in the dongle initialisation software and runs like IGS. I am unable to connect to the likes of Facebook as it comes up as OpenDNS blocked: Social Networking when I type www.facebook.com. I have no account with the nannies in question so how is it able to block anything without my say so just because I plugged a new dongle in, and more importantly, how do I get rid of it or spank it's arse and put it under the stairs?

Oh, and there is only one account as Administrator and I'm running Vista.

Might be a shiney liney pound for the pot if one of yous geeks can help me out.. :pDT_Xtremez_19:

Just as a quick guess without looking for answers etc, try typing in www.facebook.com/home

It doesnt work with IGS but it does work with other programs like IGS

I had a similar issue with my first vodafone dongle in NZ, they are made by Huawei and you can download a generic "dashboard" from their website. www.huawei.com
This does not tie the modem to any network, you need a few bits of info from vodafone to set it up, just the dail number if I remember correctly.

I found this generic dashboard to load quicker and it has all the features of the Vodafone one.

Hope this helps.

Because your PAYG you may have to register it mate, my T-mobile dongle has the same problem. It's their baby sitting way of stopping children surfing porn and such on PAYG.
Just ring Vodafone and speak to the help desk and get it removed, then all those donkey raping dwarf movies you like so much will be open to you again :pDT_Xtremez_15:

Mine lets me in Facebook, yet it won't let me play Zynga poker :pDT_Xtremez_41:.
My 3 dongle does though :pDT_Xtremez_30:

Quite correct my little Druid friend. They all have a content bar on them which you can only lift by using a credit card (where they steal a quid) to prove you are over 18.
