Looking for a wee bit of help.

Group attempt to do a bit more sport rather than circuits / rowing / jogging and the suggestion of a squash ladder has come up.

Looking at setting up a spreadsheet to control this along the principal of:

Ladder positions change based on challenge matches played. Example: Player 12 challenges Player 6 and wins. Player 12 now replaces Player 6 on the "Ladder" and Player 6 becomes 7. All of the players below 6 move down one rung. You shoud be able to print out the current "Ladder" as well as each individuals won/lost record.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? PM if even better you already have one somewhere:pDT_Xtremez_30:

Many thanks

Even easier for a shiney is get a T-Card Holder and a set of T-Cards write names on cards and place holder in T-Bar/prominant place move cards as and when games are played and easy to add and remove players. Also nice and visible so bosses can see activities going on and therefore tick VG.

Plus everyone can access.

I'm with Penfold on this one as that is how we manage our Squash League to good effect. You do remember the acronym KISS, don't you? :pDT_Xtremez_30:

we used some magnetic strips with dyno stickers, on one of our steel secure cabinets.

our rule was that the initial order of the board/ladder was drawn at random with witnesses present. you can only challenge a player 1 or 2 places above you, but you can challenge ANY person below (at your own risk of course)

the players either stay in their position on the ladder, or do a straight swap depending on the result of the match.

e.g. P1 is challenged by P2 - P2 wins, they now swap, if P1 wins, they stay put.

Gotta agree with the gents above: no need to go hi-tech just because it's there. Plus the mag strip or T-card holder system is 'green'.
