There are multiple events going on around the globe at the min which is a bit concerning, as it seems no one wants to actually take the hard decision to do anything about it for fear of doing something wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ukraine - Speaks for itself
Israel/Palestine - Palestine started it, but seems a propaganda war is preventing the Israelis going all in.
Red Sea - Houthi just being the usual degenerates they
Staright of Hormuz - Iran and Somali - generally being dicks and chancing their arm and sometimes getting away with it.
Middle East (Iran/Syria/Russia) - Seems Russia is getting the likes of Iran who support Hezbollah to start poking Israel to try and detract from Ukraine.
Ecuador - Gangs holding live TV at gunpoint - WTF!!!!!!

Is it me or are we looking at some sort of potential global conflict!!!!!!!!!

The Houthi gang are apparently starving, short of food medicines and everything else if the frequent appeals for aid in Yemen on my TV are correct. Despite their apparent hardships they can mount sea borne operations against western navies with drones and missiles. Yet another Iranian proxy group funded by the Mullahs and dare I suggest even sometimes manned by Iranians whilst acting under the Houthi banner. Iran has fingers in many pies Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas, its chummy with that nice Mr Putin and anyone else with an axe to grind with Israel and the great Satan (America). We just need Kim Jong Un to invade the South then start lobbing buckets of sunshine around to get the party properly started.

BBC update looks like things are moving fast

" The BBC understands the UK Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer and the Shadow Defence Secretary John Healey are to be briefed by the government shortly after the cabinet call. We are also told the Speaker of the Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, will be briefed this evening as well. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is briefing his cabinet now and the BBC understands it relates to potential US and UK strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen."

Thank god we”ve got two brand new carriers so don’t have to fly all the way from Cyprus.
A few batches of Paveway IV have been dropped by RAF Typhoons flying from the static aircraft carrier in the Med according to today's early reports

The question is, where is the end point?

There's plenty of commentators out in webland talking not about WW3, but talking about a wider global conflict with multiple proxies supported by China, Russia and Iran.

A bit of background about our involvement in years past, when Yeman was better known in the press as Aden.

Since around 2015 the Saudis have been bombing the Houthis on a regular basis and that's not been a big success

The Suez is a crucial trade artery for western nations who will, I reckon, do whats required to keep the trade route open and most likely upset Iran and its proxies quite bit in the process. It's a right mess out there.

The rest of the civilized world got all bent out of shape when the Saudis were having a go at the Houthi rabble just because those pinko lilly livered liberal snowflakes have a problem with Saudi human rights. So what happens, the Saudis stop bombing the rabble and the rest of the world sends $bn's of aid which gets hijacked by the rabble and the world sits back feeling all nice and warm about themselves. While all this is going on the rabble are getting all sorts of weaponry from Iran and now they feel brave enough to use it.
The world turns and now were are busting caps in Yemen when we should be letting the Saudis do it.

The tangled web just continues to grow. South Afria has brought a case to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) acussing Israel of genocide. Seems odd that S. Africa, which has enough strife going on at home and doesn't appear to be overly interested in global affairs should bring this action. The cynic in me wonders which of the bigger players are pulling the S.African strings

Agree, everything seems to be initiated by Russia, China or Iran. China are sitting back and playing the long game. Putin has just gone all in and will get his arse handed to him on a plate if the west keep supping Ukraine with what they need. Iran now that's a different matter, they may or may not have some sunshine, that in its self is not an issue but if the West decide Iran needs its trs pulled down and spanked then they may decide to do something stupid.
