and what a mess the Union code is in now...It's put all it money into large corporate wages, the England team and keeping premiership ship clubs afloat and left the grass roots game in tatters.

How has it let down its grass roots?? Was grass roots RU "better" in the days of boot allowance and unofficial payments to players who were supposedly total amateurs.

It has cut all travel allowances to all levels below 4 (might be 3) leaving clubs with zero income for the past 6 months having to find £3-4K (in our case) extra. They have made redundant the rugby development officers that helped us develop volunteer coaches and cut the international ticket allocation that we tempted sponsors with....and that’s just for starters.
