Can anyone in the know answer the following questions for me :

1. How long is the AST result valid for, I sat and passed it in 2009 but had to drop out after the filter inteview stage for personal reasons. I applied for the same trade this year and was advised that I had have to sit the test again regardless.

2. If one sat the AST twice how are the scores calculated ?

Thanks

The rules didn't change for decades but recently they've changed quite a bit, last I heard each test stands alone but you could resit within you're own lifetime.

Sent with predictive text, apologies for bad wording

You are right , I found out to my peril when I sat for AST2. One more life line left.

AST Scores are valid for I believe twleve months. However, if you fail an AST you will have to re-sit it after a cool-off period of six months. Fail it again and you'll have to wait twelve months.
