Going to a family funeral on tuesday and I have been asked to do a reading/prayer, has anyone got any suggestions for a reading. My Gran was in the RAF during the war and those years were some of her fondest memories so want to do her justice. Any help gratefully recieved

Google High Flight or Per Ardua by John Magee.

Why don't you tell a personal story about her? One that everyone can relate to and then incorporate the RAF element into it.

For example.

How she strived to rise above the rest, how her military sense of humour helped her through the bad times but this gave her the moral strength and courage to make the best of the good times.

Keep on with the theme and you'll do her well proud.

Finish off with " Per Ardua Ad Astra" as a final send off to her

Sorry about your loss.
