Good to see photgraphic is still around. Joined as an apprentice AP Op at JSOP in June 71, converted to ACF but when they wanted us to retrain as handbag swingers (L Tech AR) I became a rigger. Left the mob 11 years ago and am now Chief Instructor at a Ground School at a well known, well loved aviation company. I retire in 4 weeks time to start working for a living. I shall read these threads with some chuckle during my retirement.I wish you all the very best and stay safe.

As a New "old Boy" on the block I was having a GOOD laugh at some of the comments thinking that there did not seem to be any one from my days in "Foto" till I saw Wellesbourne vintage '57 Tengah and Seletar circa'60. And all that classifications Alpha. for trade.
Seem as tho' I was a misfit having started out as Photo BP at SOP converted to "Specialist" at Jaric then going "Press" in F or E ver A F arce and to be a Reprographic Technologist for AIDU ( No it does not stand for Anthripoidal Insemination Dept.) doing Air Cartography with Rafac, Sfid TAP and other such abrevs. When learned to point and shoot with the
Graphic, a Littlejohn Galley, and my own Aires V a non slr but multi changeable lensed camera. Now I have a selection of Slr's, Twin. and cine. No digital... waiting tiil they make up their minds and they improve!!
Just bought a genuine CCCP enlarger for my sons Minox... move over 007.
