Take a trip to the Hyatt Hotel, intercon or the doplhin centre while you're there. Flash your ID and five rials later, access to the pool, jacuzzi and the cocktail bar. Careful though something like 4 rials a cocktail/beer, gets pricey after a few mojitos.DT_Xtremez_14:

Wi-fi in your room, via your Paradigm card, is one hour per day. You can use more than one hour if the network isn't busy.

It's a very easy place to deploy to. Can be boring at times as the pace is "relaxed". Bring a laptop with plenty of films to watch.

We used to land at Muscat, triple 'S', jump in a minibus and head off down to the intercont for an afternoon into evening sesh calling by an ATM to score a minimum £100 in rials for that was the sum you'd need for a blowout...and of course there was no eating involved.
