One of the twin winged brevet variety. Have a knack for snagging the simplest of problems in an aircraft. Seem to think that they are the superior race in the RAF. Also see 'Baby Growbag' - similar to the aforementioned, but with a huge case of 'imbetterthaneveryoneelse-ness' then get knocked down a peg or two by Lineys and Air Traffickers.

Can be holding the full pilots wings, a brevet, flying badge (FC/AT/AI), be an airborne steward or just be a liney who has scammed a flying suit out of the returns bin in stores and wants to pretend whilst on det. Likes to snag stuff because if it looks/sounds or smells dodgy it's better to be safe than sorry. Finds it difficult to understand why lineys big themselves up so much when they are being paid the same as non-technical staff like HR or supply but figures it's to match the embarressment of that position. Finds it tiresome that others hold them in such high regard when one of them perishes but berates them for their achievements in all other areas even when they have made no demands, have been very polite and tried in every way to involve the liney in the days events and decisions...But they put it down to immaturity and carry on regardless.

Growbag - also called "Un-calibrated Test Equipment". Known to snag a variety of trivial things on aircraft simply because they don't like it - or don't understand it.

All this relates to the old adage, "You can teach a monkey to ride a bike, but you can't teach one to fix it."
