Yes you really can play for free at sunny Cosford. It works like this. There are four places set aside for trainees on courses to play golf for free. Works like kind of day ticket you book them out go play bring them back and someone else books them tomorrow. Restrictions apply however no weekend golf only 5 days. The scheme many moons ago applied only to AC's but has been flexed on occassion to include anybody on a course who is recieving "training" therefore by default if your under training then you are a "trainee". The course is Patshull park (google will give you the gen on its facilities) I haven't the IT wizzardry to add a link.

On a Similar note a few years ago Shawbury run a scheme to play Hawkstone park for a fiver via the Gym. Well worth while 2 nice courses (hope the deal is still on).
