Not sure mucka, most probabaly do although they will be run by mixture of RAF, DFS ( not the furniture store) and private contractor companies. Hope that helps.

All MOD sites worldwide are risk assessed by DFRMO to determine what level of firefighting cover is required. All airfields (excluding Voluteer Gliding School only sites) will have a dedicated fire and rescue crash crew on duty during airfield opening hours and most (but not all) will also provide 24 hour domestic cover for the structural risk.

Some MOD sites will be assessed as having no requirement for permanant on site fire-fighting cover due to the low risk of the base area and/or the close proximity of the Local Authority Fire Service to meet the required response time.

RAF TG8 firefighters are permanantly established at a handful of units in the UK (about a dozen)and at RAF Akrotiri Cyprus, as well as on detachment overseas in operational areas.

All other required units are covered by either DFRS civil service firefighters or by companies contracted to provide the fire and rescue cover to the standards laid down by DFRMO. That is the theory anyway and in reality it is all a bit of a mis-mash.
