Anyone else still following Englands shoddy display against Pakistan?

It's getting more than embarressing during the final test...You can feel the confidence leaking out of the bowlers as they see their efforts in skittling out opponents for just 99 getting p1ssed away by a batting side far too comfortable in their no.1 test side position...

So who needs to go to show some management steel and put the wind up the others that are worth keeping?

I reckon time has been called on Straus...I think his captaincy has been enhanced by having characters like KP and Swann in the dressing room but when they go quiet as they have at the moment you can see there isn't much left...He's circa 34, not scoring and not leading.

KP...Refuses to change his batting style...whilst he's wacking peolpe out of the park you can put up with that...when he's been sussed out by most sides as being weak against left arm spin he's a waste of an airline ticket...time for a holiday and a little humility.

Morgan...one day specialist at best...doesn't have the attitude to play test...I don't think he'd find that unfair himself.

Any others? I don't want to see swathing cuts but some big names need to fall to shake things up.

KP has been trading on his rep for a while the odd big knock doesn't cover the numerous low scores. His swashbuckling cross bat style looks the part to the uninitiated who watch T20 in the pub and on the highlights but test cricket team coaches around the world have sussed him, give him something to have go at early and he will bite every time. His shot selection is very poor in the early stages of his innings. Strauss well maybe father time has caught up with him so now it's Capt Cook to take the helm. The bigger and more difficult question is not who should go but who will replace them. We need a better opener than Strauss and a middle order heavy scoring batsman or two who can put pressure on the fielding side a tall order indeed. Ravi Bopara is a stop gap at best.

Was KP ever that good? Or just good enough compared to the rubbish around him at the time?

Its the hardest thing in sport (not including Maria Sharapova`s towel thrower), being able to say to someone "you`re out" before they hit the slippery slope. When you get it right, it means you`re only intergrating two or three players into the squad at a time, as opposed to two or three into the team.
