Seems we've given up and are now just recruiting more officers than airman.

(I do actually understand that there are fewer officer courses than airman courses).

How will this pan out in future? Do they hold back airman graduations to align the parades?

It was a ‘one off’ as part of the RAF 100 celebrations and was just a number of recruits from Halton that travelled for the event. It’s not a sign of things to come and the Halton Sausage Factory is still pumping out more people than Sleaford Tech.

I thought that Halton was closing and that all basic training (Officer, SNCO & Airmen) was going to be at RAF Cranwell from next year?

It is but will be more like 2025 when it happens and RTS will be separate from IOT, unlikely to see joint Grads/Passouts etc....
