Yesterday the PM announced that the triple lock will become a double lock for next year’s State Pension increase.

Makes you consider if the Oct release of the Sep 2021 CPI % Rate will be honoured in full for the 2022 Service Pension, or perhaps 'tailored for fairness' to be in line with the lowest ex-triple lock value.

I would have thought that, having confirmed the double lock, it is unlikely that the government would then remove one of the two elements of that lock.
