The following RAF Regiment Gunners have been honoured with awards for bravery.

The RAF Regiment based at Honington in Suffolk is honoured with an OBE going to Sqn Ldr Jason Sutton and medals to servicemen.

Cpl David Hayden receives a Military Cross and a Queen's Commendation for Bravery goes both to Sgt John Bainbridge and Snr Aircraftman James Stinson, both from Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.

A Queen's Commendation for Valuable Service is awarded to Warrant Officer Robert Hargreaves.
Senior Aircraftman Benjamin Wharton is Mentioned in Despatches.

I send my heartiest congratulations to the brave Gunners who put themselves in harms way to help their comrades.

i saw Cpl David Hayden give an interview on sky news earlier, he came across as a top guy. Very modest and heaping the praise on the rest of the guys out there who equally deserve recognition.

We're all very proud, well done lads.

Aye, Top Kudos to Dave H. The Sqn had a hard time of it throughout that tour. Wish the papers would get their facts right though. Taliban in Basra? Anyway, top job fella. :pDT_Xtremez_28:
