The finish AF have shown pictures of the F18 engine, post sortie, through the volcanic cloud – (I would like to see some pictures of the conditionn before the flight) and they are putting up Hawks with probes to carry out sampling too!

Bearing in mind there is a lot of RR experience of the RB199 and AE2100 having its holes baked with dessert dust (silicon) would it not be prudent to send up one of our frames and carryout some testing of our own to see how the sulphates and engines worked followed by an engine wash and a other flight to see if it we could keep aircraft flying? (I bet they wish they hadn’t got rid of Snoopy)
