Hi all, i have my aptitude test on 6/9/08 at Leeming 509 squadron.
Hoping to gain entry to Reg Gunners, TG8?.
I'm a little unsure as to how the process goes after initial testing.
Is there a selection weekend first?
Or do the RAF do it differently, is it the 14 day period first?
At what point will i have my first interview, and will it be formal?
I.e suit etc?
Also part of selection for gunner is 1.5 mile run, although i have heard conflicting info suggesting its a 3 mile run.
I'm 42 yrs old, so i think the 1.5 mile run time for me would be 13.30 mins, currently doing it in 12 mins.
Does anyone know how many press ups or sit ups i'll be required to do?
Can't wait to get stuck in.
Any help please?

Hi Steve,

Whether it applies to you or not - I don't know. But on the RAF Careers website, on the info page for RAF Regiment Gunner (http://www.raf.mod.uk/careers/jobs/rafregimentgunner.cfm?tab=thefacts) the maximum (upper age limit) to apply for the job is 36, and your 42... Like I say, im not in the RAF yet, just noticed it. I don't know if your already in the RAF or something... Jamie.
