Any of the clerks out there seen/understand the new policy (Outlined in 2011DIN01-037 - available on Defence Intranet) on Additional Paternity Leave.
From my quick read through, the father of the child can get up to 26 weeks Additional Paternity Leave, so long as the mother has at least 2 weeks unexpired maternity or adoption leave entitlement remaining.
It seems the father will be paid Additional Statutory Paternity Pay for part of the period - the DIN does not seem to state that the remaining time is unpaid leave or something else.
Any thoughts folks could give on this would be appreciated.
