I wasn't going to do this one, but....
The 10th race of the 2010 season takes place a circuit that had lost the right to hold it less than 12 months ago! The Silverstone circuit layout has been revamped as part of changes made to accommodate the Moto GP race that it got the rights for post Donington being awarded the F1 race rights and the subsequent demise of that circuit project, the award of a 17-year contract for Silverstone to hold the F1 event. The circuit’s biggest change is the loss of the Abbey chicane, Bridge and Priory corners and the incorporation of sections of the national circuit into the “Arena “ circuit layout. This has increased the length of the circuit to 3.667 Miles (or 5.901 Kilometres). This has also increased the number of corners to 18. Furture changes include the move of the pit lane to another section of the track, but thats in the furture. As the F1 cars have never raced here yet, an F3 car presently holds the lap record. That will change of course!

The demands of the circuit with its multiple high-speed corners make a car with a good aero package the one to have. This was proven last year when the Red Bulls walked away with a one-two finish, smashing the previous almost invincible Brawns. The Mclaren’s poor 2009 aero package found them at the rear of the gird and Hamilton had a great battle with Alonso. For 13th Place!!

And at least he showed off for the fans, a thing that unfortunately F1 should learn from the Moto GP boys

Is that you in front of the camera MM?? LOL!
This year would also seem Vettal and Webber will at the head of the field if the status quo is still being held. They have been dominant in Qualifying for 8 of the 9 races so far. But the others main title challengers are not far behind in catching up. Ferrari’s recent upgrade wasn’t particularly evident in Valencia, but could work better at Silverstone and Mclarens blown diffuser will make its appearance at Silverstone. I would suspect Red Bull will be too strong for Mclaren and Ferrari, but they still seem to drop the ball more often than not. It is also the first British GP in eons where 2 British World Champions have taken part (1973 Jackie Stewart and Graham Hill would be last if memory serves me right) and longer for two English Champions (John Surtees and Hill in 71). To cap it all Messer’s Hamilton and Button happen to be top of the present pile! 125,000 people may be in for a great time. However It could be a Vettal / Germany / Alonso / Spain day. Alonso wins and the top 5 drivers have 2 wins apiece. Totally unpredictable and an epic season.
