Just keeping my eye out for an officer or two now as I haven't yet had the pleasure....!!

Come to Fat Alberts home and wait outside Tesco and you will soon get fed up with telling them they should be wearing their hat.

You want to get to Tossford, we need people here who don't agree with the pink and fluffy line. Nip it in the bud, that's what I say.

Saw an AMM scooting across the road to join his mates... sans beret.

I was 100 metres away and couldn't help but shout...'GET YER HAT ON'!

He jumped like a good 'un and magically a beret appeared on the miscreants head.

I'm not one of those power hungry to55ers that you meet at Cosford... but it certainly made me smile for the rest of the day!:pDT_Xtremez_30:

Friday, Cashpoint on a Northern Fighter Station. Me with big hat, LAC with no hat.

Me - Excuse me young lady, where's your hat?
Her - In the block.
Me - Why?
Her - Cos
Me - Cos what?
Her - Cos I'm finished work
Me - Where do you work?
Her - Officers Mess
Me - So you drove from your work to here.
Her - Yes, why?
Me - So you drove past your block to get here?
Her Yes why
Me - Have you had a hat on at all today.
Her - No, the Sgt doesn't mind if we don't wear a hat.

At this juncture I thought I should introduce her to the concept of a rank structure. I know it may be an old fashioned concept but since I've been in forever I kinda like it. She has been invited to visit me on Tues when we'll both have a chat with her Sgt. TBH I'm getting a bit bored with it, WTF can't people follow simple instructions?

Apart from the lack of hat - what the hell was she driving for! The distances between the Offrs' Mess, any of the blocks and the cash machine aren't exactly huge!

I'm surprised you let her wait until Tuesday.

Shame I can't be there to witness you impart your years of experience - enjoy!

I never realised that you were that mortal - there goes another cherished memory!

Oh, and don't think I didn't notice the missing apostrophe in your use of Officers' Mess earlier. ;)

Or the one in it's.:pDT_Xtremez_14:

I love giving a daily bollocking; I often see bunches of SAC(T)s/Cpls and even Sgts 'walking' to the Mess, hands in pockets, hands not even showing out of their jackets, jackets undone..etc...they are normally apologetic but probably think fcuk off you grumpy old git but frankly I don't care; I am content that I have the moral courage to stop these fcukers from taking standards even lower than they are!

Just keeping my eye out for an officer or two now as I haven't yet had the pleasure....!!

Do you, really? only in the military - a place where those who were bullied at school can exact their revenge..

I have to say that, your post causes me to think allot less of you than I do of those "fcuckers" who maybe let their standards slip a little!!

Yes they are breaking a rule, a rule which seems to be getting broken just as much by more senior ranks, who SHOULD be setting a standard.
However, whatever you think, it's a pretty minor rule which they are breaking. It's a lack of standard's, more than a full on problem. I'm sure that throughout the age of the RAF, Airmen and Officers have let this type of standard slip.

However, I think there is a much more serious problem, in a senior person (YOURSELF !!), referring to these people as “fcukers" !!

Please try to remember that, some of those "fcukers" have probably served some time in OP OOA's, probably in the not too distant past. Calling them "fcukers" is a bit harsh to say the least.

By all mean's point out their lack of standards, I have no problem with that. But please don't use such a disgusting label as "fcukers" on people who have let themselves down in a very minor area.

What?.... I made his Christmas better by giving him the day off!

Couldn't exactly have him working on aircraft when he'd just been charged FFS!

Hmmm I was, a nice day to contemplate the night befores shenanigans and the future whilst cleaning out old hydraulic oil in a cold HAS. :pDT_Xtremez_26: Still added a bit of colour to my career (career that's a laugh :pDT_Xtremez_42:)

(It was a hoax, and now they have been educated)

Cue one Service complaint for harassment. Not a perfect idea.

I have no doubt about the educational benefits of an oral counselling session delivered by KG without any 'hoax' punishments added.

There is NOTHING the young cherish more than free time. This why why one gets stiffed for duty on saturday mornings n training, and why this young person should be asked to attend your presence on Friday at 16.45, whereupon you keep her waiting for 45 minutes, having first instructed her to stay until you are ready, because you are "busy".

Alright Gloria calm down.handbag

I am not gonna get too deep into this with you because from your previous posts you always miss the point anyway, but:

If I have offended you then tough luck. I often refer to people as 'fcukers' but that's just a term I tend to use a lot, nothing more and I can refer to them in anyway I like as last time I looked we didn't have to submit posts to you for approval.

- so these guys may have been OOA - woweeeeee but WTF has this got to do with the price of fish? Is that the way forward then, anyone who has been OOA can do whatever they like back in the UK, dressed in blues?

Oh and thanks for allowing me to continue to point out their lack of standards....I will. However, remember it is everyones duty to do so, however minor you may think they are.

Oh and when did I say it was a full on problem?

I didn't say it was just junior ranks either, merely some experiences I have had - the problem is widespread but if everyone had the moral courage to challenge these people (even those who have returned from OOA!) then perhaps we can reverse the trend.
