Yeah.... Do you think the aircrew managed to get home in time to get to the polling stations to vote?....

I hope so!:pDT_Xtremez_42:

Well, there you go!!

No doubt the Pruners are frapping themselves stupid over this............and rightly so.

TW

What is the confusion, there could only be two possible reasons for this event. Either incompetent scumbag loser no-good groundcrew error or............an unavoidable airborne divergence from SOP’s, that will no doubt end up with some ‘Rodney’ (or 2) being awarded a medal for displaying courage and integrity, above and beyond the ‘call of duty 4’.

If anybody can confirm that a fully manned (and equipped) crash team made it out on time..........I will be impressed! Experience has shown that ‘occasionally’, squadron shifts have been unaware they’re even on ‘crash’; let alone what kit is required or its location.

The image of headless chickens is clear in my mind!

Regardless of the circumstances though,

Well done to the crew for a successful landing.

I hope that you all have a few drinks over the weekend!!

I don't know if the aircrew train much for that eventuality, I assume they do. But we used to 'accidently' do it in the Tristar Sim quite a lot. It's just like a normal landing but louder...........oh yeah, you seem to stop a bit quicker as well!

Would have been a safer landing if the wheels were down. All you need to do is reach out and pull the lever.

UUMMMM BZN 1 runway, LYE 2 runways...........................Future Brize? You go figure!

Well, BB

Sim in a tristar is is obviously different to a herc with an emergency in real life.

A trashed and recoverable airframe WITHOUT loss of life or injury in the real world is a million times better than a trashed ...........well you know.

I would say lucky rather than successful but I'm sure the board will explain all after it releases it's findings. Some clues are in the pictures, no undercarriage doors are open for a start.
