Looking at taking the kids on holiday and maybe the wife if i can afford it. We have searched through dozens of holidays. Including Turkey , Greece and Florida. Has anyone got any recommendations of places they have been that would be great for families...

I would recommend Dubai - a mate of mine is taking his family out there in June before it gets too hot, and he mentioned he had got an amazing deal at the Atlantis resort there for him and his two kids.

Quite what the cost was I don't know, but he mentioned he was going with Virgin Holidays

would recommend the Aqua Fantasy Resort in Turkey. Went a couple of years ago and it was fantastic. The hotel is 5star all in and backs onto a waterpark, which you have free access to. You dont get AI at the waterpark, but you can just walk in and out if the kids needs to eat/drink, or you can charge it to your room by using your room key.

For me, the other half and 2 kids under 10, it cost £2000 for a week. Went in may 07 and the weather was perfect, although Turkey can be quite wet still at that time of year.

All depends on what you want out of the holiday really. We've been to Turkey 4 times and it can be a real bargain, nice people to boot. If you don't fancy a package deal, try here Real bargains can be had and the accommodation is likely to be far better than a hotel for a whole lot less wonga.:pDT_Xtremez_19:

Butlins???????

Seriously though, been to Fuertaventura twice ( before divorce ) and stayed at the Lobos Bahia Apartments....Fantastic! We went self catering as the kids were quite fussy eaters then but have to say it was well worth it, infact the girl I am with now went last year and we are now thinking of going.

How about the Mecca of the North West......Blackpool?

Its got everything....arcades, sandy beaches, stag do's, hen do's, violence every Saturday, and the possibly the worlds worst Harry Ramsdens.....

Forget Blackpool.....'tis a silly idea.
