I've just noticed a shiney new button on JPA Pension Application (PEN 1).

Is it the replacement for the pension calculator/can you put in multiple applications to reflect different leaving dates?

I tried an application but it told me I have too long left to do! Not sure what it is for, unless we are now so skint that you apply for your own pension and they are hoping people will "forget"!

JPA Op bulletin 0911-007 (on the login page) gives details. It looks like it replaces the manual pensions information form. It will probably be activated as people enter the termination :pDT_Xtremez_32: process

Its not a way of cutting even more staff is it?

You click on it and you are booted out there and then loosing all pension rights.

As stated, it is the new way of submitting your pension form (Pen 1), rather than filling it out with a pen and mailing it. There are a few new things coming out, e.g an LSAP can be applied for direct to the JPAC for checking before you get med signatures etc and all LSAP recipients will recieve a questionnaire every 6 months to ensure they are still living in the property they claimed LSAP for.

I used it yesterday, told 'em give me all the money you can:pDT_Xtremez_14:

I now have a printed receipt with which to beast JPAC if they screw my pension up!

This press to PVR lark is a doddle:pDT_Xtremez_30: you should all give it a go!:pDT_Xtremez_42:

If it suddenly starts working and there are redundancies in the pipeline, be very afraid :pDT_Xtremez_42:

You still have the pension calculator at here for that!

The really old amongst us need to know that if you are entitled to life commutation you will need to signal you intent (in writing probably) before the button goes live on your log in.

Those of us who need no assistance to go to the loo or get dressed don't have to worry, normal commutation for us spring chickens!!:pDT_Xtremez_14:
