A word to the ARRSE lads & lasses

I read the thread over at ARRSE regarding the Goat and was a little p1$$ed off that we were slagged off by certain individuals who though we had banned them. This wasn't true and the reason that it looked like this was that we had in fact breached the free hosting by actually swearing and the fact that we overloaded the prats server as we had over 4000 views and 250 in 2 hours. Lightweights. Anyway, we didn't get the previous database back so I decided to spend some dosh and pay for it to be done properly. The ARRSE lot are very welcome here and thanks to some of their community for actually sticking up for us and reporting my thread on pprune

How do I put my own picture up as an avatar without having to choose one of the stock one?

In reply to FOMP. Select the Quicklink Button at the top of the page, use the dropdown menu and select Edit Avatar. At the bottom of the page it gives you the option to upload an avater from your computer. Do this and follow the prompts. Then select you avatar from the list available. et voila

Please note that there is a limit to the upload avatar of 80x80 pixels. We will look at upping that as long as it dont getting silly

Which option is that? There is a FAQ section, that covers Avatar Uploading - take a peek up and right a bit.

Had a look at all that, its says that you should have an option to link or upload an avatar, I dont have that option all I can do is "save" and "reset fields".

Same here. There doesnt appear to be an 'upload' or 'browse puter'? Just the pre defined jobby.

ah....good post. The thing is we, as admins, see stuff that you might not. This post was pretty good in highlighting the fact that you do not have an option to upload. Cheers.

The Vbulletin board that we are using at present prevents users from uploading avatars unless they are of admin status....We are working to correct this. However as a stop gap please post your desired avatar in a thread and we will upload that avatar into the catagories that you have access to.
