Awreet! Well my biggest ambition in the RAF is to be a fighter pilot in the Eurofighter Typhoon F2 and if you have any useful info on it then maybe you could suply me with some? I've been on some sites but I'm sure there must be some others you would know about maybe? I've been on that Wikipedia thingy and its quite good but it doesn't tell you everything! Cheers

I'd hope it would not tell you everything! What with it being new (at least to the RAF I suppose). :raf:

It has been cause for a lot of debate mind, particularly as of late with some people suggesting it could be adapted for the new carriers. I'm sure I saw somewhere saying that we were supposed to have had it operational in 1992 too?! :pDT_Xtremez_35:

Either way, there's a lot out there on the 'net covering the Typhoon. There's even a massive website dedicated to the thing!

And just a word of caution about believing all you read on websites.

Even on here you'll get people who have never served a day of their lives giving out advice as if they were the Marshal of the RAF.

I think the phrase is "walt"

Why are you so fixated on the Typhoon?
Granted it's good to have aspirations, but you're only 13, at least 4 years away from even beginning to apply to the RAF, you might not even make Aircrew, or if you do make Aircrew, you might not be streamed for fast jet.

RIAT a few years ago. Almost a job for Crash and Smash (missed by 20 feet apparently). I was watching with great interest as he fell off a turn and started slipping sideways towards the ground! Bet his ar$e was gripping his seat!

Massey I am currently going through the application process to become an officer. Even though I'm not going for a pilot I still have to know the aircrafts and found that the RAF website has all the info you need.

There's the link to the Typhoon there, but too be honest if I was going for pilot, I'd more excited to fly the F-35!
