Applied for mine last week just waiting for it to get actioned.

I applied for the other one in November last year and it took about 3 - 4 weeks to get actioned so i'm expecting the same sort of time frame again.

Mine, which i had in March, i asked PSF to fax, within 2 days JPAC confirmed the had it and it would be actioned.

Try phoning the JPAC centre and ask for them to see if it has reached them. If it is not on the system to be paid it'll be showing as being received. :pDT_Xtremez_30:

Applied for mine earlier this week. PSF told me it'd take 2-3 month to go into my bank. I applied for my original bonus in the middle of march and got it half way through april so would think i may see it next month some time.

Applied for mine a couple of days ago too, I remember my 4 & a Half year one taking a couple of months to come through, so I imagine this one will be the same.

Anyone know how much we get once the tax man's taken his share?
The LAC who gave me the paperwork said it was £5k that we get, gen or duff gen?

duff gen mate, i had my 7.5 in march, got £1850, and should et anoth £1850 next month. You'll get, if claiming the new £5000, £3600, maybe a bit more. tax is around 23-24%. Still much better than a slap in the face!

I tried to sort this out with the help of my CC and PSF last week.

I had applied for my seven and a half year bonus months ago, knowing it was due to be paid this month. However, I recently found out about the increase so went back to the CC for advice. To cut a long story short, she got me to fill out some paperwork and sent it off on my behalf. Lo and behold it was the wrong form. She basically just got me to re-apply for my bonus. Yesterday, the first half (original amount of my bonus) was paid into my bank account. I contacted JPA this time for some advice and they told me to download a JPA E030 uplift form, fill it in, get it signed and faxed off. Providing my PSF section have sent if like they have promised, JPA tell me the next bonus run is the 17th June.

Saint D, is that pay run on the 17th for payment into our grubby paws or is it the next date to be processed to go into the banks at the end of the June? Clarification would be appreciated!

When i spoke with JPAC, they told me the Bonus run, which is seperate from the Pay run will be arounf the 15th of June, whenever the day the bonus runs starts, payment WILL be 3 days after through the BACS system, and NOT the end of month.

Just had a call from JPAC, had a SR in. My additional bonus p/w rcvd and the next bonus run is the 17th June, therfore 3 working days after this date payment will be in our banks via the BACS system.

Hold fire, rcvd a call from JPAC this morning saying he was wrong, i am entiltled to the extra amount but will not get it in june, will have to wait until my 8yr point in Sept. However if my 7.5 point was to fall today for example i would get the whole new £5000 next month, a bit of discrimination there i think, also the DIN doesn't really explain it well to JPAC.

New info coming to JPAC next week so may change again and will get the extra next month, who knows?:pDT_Xtremez_32:
But hey, some people get nothing, i'm already signed on, think i'm lucky, just a bit more clarification would be nice.

Its funny how, when something benefits us, it is a complete ball ache to sort out. I bet there is gonna be loads of Airmen who dont receive this exrta bonus as they just dont know about it.

Conversely, once there was a problem with me paying for my quarter and they never took my payment month after month, so eventually the RAF took it all in one go with no prior warning!

i feel a little out of the loop, i have had my 4 yr and 7 1/2 year payments. what are these top-ups? my 9 yr point is in july

Sorry old bean, you've missed out. As it states in the DIN, if an RAF person recv'd thier 7.5yr payment before 1Apr09 but reach the 8yr point after the 1Apr09 then they'll get an additional £2500.

Have a read through the DIN ****-090 mate, its all there. If your 8 yr point was after 1st Apr 2009 then you would of been entitled.

New insert in the JSP 754
COMMITMENT BONUSES – INTERIM SCHEME

Having read the JSP and the relevent DIN 090, why i am who had my 7.5yr payment in March having to wait until September the get the additional payment of £2500, where personell reaching 7.5yr point today for example are getting the full £5000 straight up?

I know i'm lucky to get these payments, many other jobs, and time served personel do not, but why am i having to wait?

Anyone got any gen for me on this one?

It's still not clear that we get the extra at 8 years or not, or have I missed that in the JSP? It sems to have no mention of people in our boat, rather just the people who get the new ammount.

But still its extra coin at the end of the day, just really annoying that a simple instruction of how and when to claim was not issued.

My SR said put the form in and we'll pay you, but PSF seem to disagree (Pre JSP 754 update) that it's the 8 year point, the confusion lies that the 8 year bonus (ARMY, NAVY) attracts 1 year ROS and the 7.5 year attracts 1.5 years, which makes sense, both to 9 years.

It's ony the RAF this applies too. If you have had the 8 years bonus in the ARMY, NAVY, then tough you have missed out, but reading all the gen, we simply need to put in the form and that should be that.

Hopefully a correct solution will present itself soon!
