If there isnt any rain Button will run off into the distance. That car is mighty fast. To go out in Q1 on hard tyres and leave it at that is normally brave or foolish. In Buttons case it was simply confidence that the car is quick enough to drop the few tenths/half a second and still be in for Q2.
Vettel will be one to look out for this season, shame he got a 10 place drop or he would be right in the mix up front.
Nice to see Trulli up there. He has impressed me this last week. Considering he is Italian he has been really quiet regarding the race results from Australia! He's one of those funny drivers that can be blindingly quick but seems to suffer with going to sleep on Sundays!
As for Ferrari...........
DT_Xtremez_42:. Wake the feck up!!!!
I cant believe they thought Massas first run was quick enough to warrant not putting in second run. Talk about bit on the ass.
See the difference KERS made though for Kimi. He had one run when it didnt work and one when it did. The difference was nearly a second.
Its tight up the top though, at one point there was less than one second from 1st to 10th.
Amazing really when you think about it. They have all sat down and designed new cars to new rules over the winter. There are 3 definite types, diffuser, KERS (I forget if anyone has both?)and no diffuser or KERS.
They are much closer than I would have thought. I believe that at one point during Q1 there was about 1.5 seconds covering 17 cars.
Hats off to the designers.
DT_Xtremez_30:
Well, the forecast is 32 degrees and heavy showers.
Interesting to see the Mclaren comments. I used to follow them whilst Kimi was there and for a while when Alonso was there. Thats where it ended though and my opinion of Mclaren changed for the worst I'm afraid as many of you well know. To be honest I now generally keep my opinions of Mclaren to myself, it saves the grief I get back from certain people!
I'm just wondering if anyone is now understanding why I dislike Mclaren as a team?
