I'll say 1.8%..due to economic crisis blah blah.....
I wonder if those due bonuses will have to go without like the city bankers?

I reckon the main headline will be some rubbish about pension comparisons. and that due to all the improvements to accomodation they can start ramping the prices up again... this will go towards the inflation busting LSA payments?

AFAIK, the inflation indicator for public sector payrises is taken from the previous September (5%). However, wait for the handwringing about the recession etc (which the gurning gimp told us we were best positioned to avoid etc) and we should all take a hit to save the country (apart from the MPs that is).:pDT_Xtremez_17:
A few years ago i was involved in the process, the actual rate is a very closely guarded secret until 24 before when it is released to Stn Cdrs. I'd be surprised to see the actual figure posted early here. Realist78's post first sentence is spot on. Even with the current economic climate the Government won't be able to screw the Mil over that much and give a below CPI rate split over 12 months with the current retention difficulties my spies have been telling me about.

With so many out of work, I'd take a low split pay rise, I can not grumble when my mortgage has dropped by £200-00 just glad my job is safe for the next 12 years.

The public sector will get a pittance. All our money has gone to propping up the banks who caused this mess in the first place. You know, the same banks who continue not to lend us our money.

Yeah, from what I've read you are a (ock!

suggest you read more carefully then!

I have no problem with the adminers for getting a rise, but dont appreciate when they rub TG1 noses in it!!!

Am I bitter that im now getting the same as an adminer?

Well yes, but only as bitter as you would be if the old bird that cleans your office got a pay rise to match your pay!

Like i said, no probs with the rise, yes im bitter about us not getting a thing, but you only see it as trade bashing, when the general opinion on the rise isnt like that at all!
