Just tried ringing the desk for an update...guess what...no answer!!! I should have known better than to call on a day that ends in a Y.

The desk answered the phone! Looks like they are at the end of the promotions from the last board. The joint board is now in May, he didn't mention how many they would be looking for. Oh well...maybe next year!

what really happened

The board sat in Aug and was ratified in Sep, they promoted a total of 28 Cpl's to Sgt I know this as I was the last one on the board

Rang the pre board today for Cpl-Sgt, 7 yrs seniority, High Rec not even an A grade on this joint board! Came off A grade in the high 60's on IM board with a Rec last year. Looks like the TG3 boys are getting the lions share of the board me thinks?

PS as username suggests I was one of the ones who jumped to IM from Tech!

Wasnt aware that the board had sat yet! I actually thought it was closer to the end of the month than this, but hey ho, learn something new every day.

As regards to ex-TG3 getting lions share of the board, surely you being ex-AD still stands you as ex-TG3???

Board sits Tuesday, I rang the PRE BOARD to find out what grade I will be when the main board sits. I have received 3 reports as IM and that's what the board will see so my previous experience in TG3 stands for nothing.

I heard from my WO that the names are getting released and that I should phone the board.

I dont think I will, rejection is a horrible thing. If it happens then it's a suprise.
