JPA help

Hey, I was hoping someone on here might be able to offer some advice.
I'm a flying officer currently fresh out of Cranwell at RAF Boulmer doing my ADFC. Before joining the RAF I was a TA sig. What this has meant is that while I've kept my old service number my JPA has been screwed to high hell.

It still says I'm in the TA and both PSF and JPAC were claiming the problem was with each other. I have now been told that it is being investigated by an RAF focal point but I have no idea who or where this is. Worse at the moment Boulmer were not made aware of the problem by my PSF SAC who is currently on deployment to the Falklands so I need to get them in contact with each other so that I can hopefully still get paid, even though it's by bacs.

Because of this situation I can't book leave on system, I can't claim any expenses and while things like my CCS and RAFFT can be added I have worries about what this will mean to my OJAR when I finally have one.

This problem has dragged on for 8 months so far and I was wondering if someone has suffered the same problem and can offer some advice or can shed some light on how long it will take to get fixed because the prospect of moving onto hold and having to brief them of the same problem and then the eventual headache of paying it all back whenever I finally do have JPA is driving me round the bend.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

now im not usually a grumpy sod !! however we all know that jpa is rubbish at time's but i've had some of the sac's sort out various problems like this on several occasion's, now given your status as "a leader of men" you should be able to get it sorted. I understand you are having problems but imagine one year from now and you may at that time be a flt lt and a subordinate comes to you with a similar problem? what do you say ??????

Just a quick question

Just a quick question

Did you get discharged from the TA before you joined, this could be cause of all your ills if you didn't.

Last I heard the focal point was at Innsworth with the pay people, at a guess they're either still there or down at Centurion or worse still Kentigen House, to be honest their location isn't important, it is good that they're looking into your problem though.

Get things put in writing, get names and make a record of your conversations.

The old system wasn't perfect either but JPA is more complex to put right.

Good luck at Boulmer

Just because a clerk is in the Falklands shouldnt stop you sorting things out.

Have you been told to use paper alternatives to claims and leave?

Suggest you corner OC PSF in the mess bar.

Go to PSF and tell somebody your problem, ask them to sort it out.

Any money owed that you can prove, demand immediately by cash advance.

Get somebody to take ownership of your issue, the fact that 'your' SAC is on det means cock all. Does everybody with surnames e-g (for example) go without any administrative support for 4 months.

Stop being fobbed off and man up.

Cheers busby for the gl with ADFC. I only left the TA to join the RAF so as part of your finish of contract with the reserves your JPA account gets deleted.

It's not like I've sat on my laurels and done nothing. I only found out she was posted today and I'm on process to sorting out my current pay conundrums with the psf Sgt down in Cranwell and and liasing with the SAC here, however I asked for advice here as believe it or not, people go home on Fridays and so I can't get the two to phone each other until Monday and I thought it might be useful to ask here over the weekend. As on Off Cdt one of the flight commanders who was ex pers admin took it upon himself to help us out as he was affluent given his background was unable to make much headway.

I asked for advice or if anyone else had gone through this. As far as both NCOs and officers had gone they were all unable to get much headway or give much information other than sit tight. A can of man up is not as necessary as believe it or not, I've had to live with it during my 8 months at IOT. I've been using paper leave forms for our stand downs, I've spoken lots with my PSF and had contact with a lot of people on base and at JPAC especially through Isupport. I asked for advice here as there are more people than PSF or pers in general who were ex reservists than there are at Boulmer.

I love being told as a Flt Commander that I may have to sort this out and if asking for information is wrong on a forum with so many serving RAF pers who might have more information so that if I am in a position that I have to give someone gen then I can seems far from stupid to me to know more about it than just tell them sit tight and wait.

It's also not like I'm the only one with this problem, but different people have been sorted out at different rates. If I was stupid enough to flap and just go on an online forum without speaking to anyone in PSF both here and back in cranditz then I would hardly deserve my JO stripe and 8 months would have been wasted, yeah?

I see nothing wrong in looking for an alternative view in a forum like this. Good luck with resolving this issue. When you do perhaps you could post again to let us know how it was resolved?

No Thank You

No Thank You

I still reckon your TA unit might not have actioned their bits in time, buts that by the by. Your old JPA account will not have been deleted, it would have been added to (JPAC prefer NI numbers to service numbers) the Focal Point Guys will hopefully sort it out soon and it will just become a bad memory, when I joined my pay was zero'd for about 10 months mega pi55ed at that.

As with any other forum ignore the humour/sh1te/leg pulling/ignorant posts and be marvelled by the one and only useful post that will cure all your ills, must admit I don't think you'll find one for your current problem here though.

This site can be a font of knowledge at the same time as being a cess pit.

Off TopicHarsh. Very harsh. The guy is after help and advice on what is a very unique situation. Should it make much difference if he is an Officer? I think not. There is banter about Zobs but that was I think uncalled for!!! I would like to think that the goat is for anyone who has an interest in the RAF, who presently serve and who past served!!Off Topic
