Fantasy FA Cup 2008/2009

All the teams in our e-goat fantasy league will be automatically entered into the E-goat FA cup.

Draw to take place on the Thursday prior to week 14 of this season. Witnessed by any fellow e-goaters at work I can find.

RULES

Fantasy Cup - The knock-out rounds.
Each team will be randomly drawn against another in the first round.
Each round drawn every month except when internationals, league cup and real FA cup weeks clash.
The winner (the team with the highest game week score), will progress to the next round the losers are out!
This process continues until the final when the two remaining teams contest the E-Goat Fantasy Cup final. Venue to be same as last year the Crown ground home of the mighty Accrington Stanley

If a cup match is drawn, then the following tie-breaks will be applied until a winner is found:

1) A cup replay on the following Game week highest points score wins. Player transfers allowed
2) Still tied then most goals scored in the replay
3) Still tied then fewest goals conceded in the replay
4) Still tied then a virtual coin toss.

I know I said ALL teams in the league would have automatic entry but following a PM chat with eejit two teams have decided not to enter.

My PM - Hi notice you have two teams in the fantasy league (unless you have a clone) this will cause me some problems with the FA cup e-goat version. Could you advise me which is your real team and I will discard the other. Cheers TB

eejit's reply - Apologies Tin basher i did not intend to enter two teams. As one team apparently didn't show up I tried again seems teams show up when the next gameweek starts hence 2 teams. If it will help I shall as they say concentrate on the league. Sorry for being an eejit.

1st round results

I shall try and put the cup 1st round results up on Tuesday at some point. With the Wigan v Everton game tonight the league is not fully updated yet. The fantasy footy site suggests it will not update fully until at least 3 hours after the final game of the week. This is to allow for auto substitutions and the like to be factored in. Some people in close ties have 3 Everton players in their team, others are hoping that Figeroa (Spelling) from Wigan has a good game etc. etc.

The 2 first round replays are. Rolling Goats FC v Budgies heroes and Nip FC v Fflint Town Utd. All the teams include players from either West Ham , Liverpool or both. As a result I have to wait for tonights match and then the fantasy league to update, process auto subs etc before the results can be posted. Should be Tues AM. Best of luck to all 4.
