My mobile went a little bit Heath Ledger yesterday, funnily enough, just after I had seen the new Batman film!
Its the sony erricson k850i and the touch screen side of it decided it had a mind of its own would not let me control the phone. Switched it off and drove home.
I phoned Orange and within 2 minutes had arranged for a new replacement phone to be sent to me.
Gentleman just arrived, less than 24 hours after reporting phone, with replacement.

Credit where its due, in this day and age of sh1te customer relations and poor customer service, I thought this was worthy of mention!

Well done Orange, you made my problem painless.:pDT_Xtremez_30:

I had exactly the same experience with Orange, had to replace a phone due to a cracked screen, a courier drove up on a Sunday and handed me a new phone, like you say, credit where credit is due.

Or because it's a problem phone that they were waiting to break. Apparently it's a common fault. Mine just randomly reboots

The touch screen screw up was apparently a problem with the early models of the K850i.
It should have been resolved now I am assured. Time will tell.

Anyway, rather than moan about Sony's phone, I'd like to congratulate Orange on making it easy and pain free.
I was expecting a fight and several calls to resolve the issue. It took one phone call and a the courier even came on a Sunday!:pDT_Xtremez_28:

Out on a road trip today, my phone decides to "lose" the camera. Trying to switch it on only started the media player :pDT_Xtremez_21:

I switched it off in disgust after a master reset failed to achieve the desired effect. I turned it back on half an hour later and lo and behold, it works fine. Except the time and date were wrong. :pDT_Xtremez_26:
