You could use Open Office, its a FREE version that lets you do everything Microsofts can do.

Available to download from- http://www.openoffice.org/

Sorry to stray off topic but this statement simply isnt true, what would be more accurate is that Open Office fulfills the needs of a basic user. Advanced features available within MS Office simply dont work in Open Office...yet.

To top that, the help facility within Open Office is sparse to say the least. Open Office is work in progress in my humble opinion.

The deal is good but Office 2007 is a pain i the backside. It's a good deal for the office suite but you lock yourself into office now and you will never leave.

Open Office is credible, just not as good as MS Office at £17 a pop. If I get sick of MS Office, I can always migrate to Open Office later so I'm not locked into anything, although I have found some of my spreadsheets dont run properly, and thats without the VBA limitations of Open Office.

Office XP was dreadful, but I am very happy with 2007.

I bought Tesco's Complete Office for around £9.
Bargain, its compatible with microsoft and does everything I need.
It comes with these programs; Database, Draw, Launcher, Photo album, Presentation, Spreadsheet and Write.
Basically older versions of Windows, ie word, excel, powerpoint, etc.
I think its based on 2000 although I'm not 100% sure.

Not quite -

The Employers Purchase Program - EPP, is going but the Home User Program is being kept on.

If you follow the original link in the post, then it works - as I've just re-registered due to posting/email change.

I've just registered for the £8.95 package - what happens now? Do I get an e-mail with a code on it or something?

Microsoft Office

I use Open Office which is free from Sun Microsystems.
Its a virtual duplicate of MS Office although in pseudo Excel some of the more obscure enhancements are not available.

Tommo,

If it is the same deal I have been getting over the past 4 years in MOD then you had the choice of a download or a DVD, at a few bob more but well worth it. With the DVD it is sent to your home and you install it the normal way.
