When is the SAC/JT - CPL Mech promotion board due?

What you say though billy is spot on, although I expect some incomming from Mr Plumbs and Sospan. The powers that be really did drop a bo##ock with the JTs, who knows what they where thinking. Still there are plenty of oppotunities on the outside.

To be honest I've given up trying to persuade people one way or another. I just don't care any more.

In 15 months the badge I've got on my uniform won't matter one bit, just like the rest of my RAF "career".

For any Riggers out there I got an email, today.

A look on the brighter side though, that board will not be released until feb/mar 09 so until then they will still use this board. I rang *** **** and his partner in crime *** last night, he informed me that they will be going over the promotion prediction of 53 for this year as they have already released 49 so far and theres still 6 months left and open posts available

A possibilty of promotion for someone?

That makes no sense at all, why have a board sit in Nov/Dec but not release it untill Feb/Mar ??

The board is sitting in December, the first promotions will take place in Feb / Mar, after everyone has recovered from xmas.

I'm sure that was the way it worked this year as well, board in December time, first lot of promotions last month(ish)

That maybe actual promotion dates once people have been given 90 days notice etc but the last PSL will be frozen just before the board sits in Nov. Well thats how I read it, I am sure a shiney will come along to correct me if I am wrong.

No you're right, the current PSB will be closed 1 month prior to the next one sitting.

Spoke to my Wobbly last month... along the line of 'where the hell are my tapes?!'
The good old boy rang PMA and the only bit of useful info was that they are sitting in Jan.
So some of us should be happy in spring.. the rest of us Jelly Totts with probably have to sit there and see another boat load of SACTs get their tapes.
