If you're going for a run, don't wear a pair of old shoes that haven't been worn for about a year.

One blister the size of a 10p later and by trying to compensate and run like a retard I've now got damaged ligaments/tendons/possible stress fracture on the other foot.

It's just not clever :pDT_Xtremez_21:

Just goes to prove my point that all fitness is bad for you.

I've never been a sportsman, or done extra curricular fitness, and the only day off work I have had sick was when my jaw run into somebody's foot and broke. I've now started going down the Gym to get in shape for my fitness test, and my body aches constantly, it seriously cannot be good for me.

You could grate cheese on my six pack! :pDT_Xtremez_27:

(As long as it was very soft cheese, and you didn't actually want it grated, just smeared)

On a more serious note you should change your trainers every year (more often if you are doing more phys).

Its worth trying to get in to see the physio as you may have an uneven gait which can lead to a whole load of joint and back problems so insoles may help.

I get all my sports gear from M&M Direct good quality kit at really good prices.

I have really become a bit of a gym monkey, and have lost 11KG in weight since I started, loving it!

I recommend M&M as well. I found a nice pair of Asics Gel on there for overpronation. A very good price as well compared to the likes of JJB.

As for your blisters Mono, look for some decent socks. Alot of people blame the shoe for blisters and dont realise that alot of the time its from the socks.
I think there is a pair out called 1000 mile socks or something like that. They are supposed to be really good and dont give out blisters.

To be honest, the blister only affected me that day. Thats all healed up and dissapeared. But now I've seen the docs twice, got shoe inserts, and walking like a retard down to the other damaged foot.

For those around Lyneham. A trip to runningbath in Bath would be worth your while. They will spend ages measuring your feet. Scanning your soles to work out the best pair of runners for you. At the end they'll try and sell you a pair for around £80. But the beauty is. You know what trainers are best for and you, get yourself on Ebay and pick a pair up for half the price.

I would like to point out that 11 hours in a pair of high heeled sandles at the mess ball does much more damage than running in old trainers....and my stomach hurt much more the next day than any day after the gym.

Dancing is the key...
