Feck me I'm depressed now. Joined 06 Nov 73, Number 1 was David Cassidy - Daydreamer and had been for a painful few weeks::p: . At least David Bowie had the No 1 Album.

29 Sep 07, that infamous day.......

and Rod Stewart was No1 in both charts with Sailing and Atlantic Crossing for the album. If I had waited a week it would have been Dark Side of the Moon.......!!

Sept '98 the country revelled in;

The Manic Street Preachers - If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next

All I remember from Shawbury shortly afterwards for my trade training were;

The Offspring - Pretty Fly for a White Guy
and
Britney Spears - Hit me baby one more time,

Not for the quality of the music, but the videos certainly stick in my head for some reason.

30 Sep 86 - Take My Breath Away by Berlin.

Flat-tops were the most popular haircut on the flight and the most common video's in the Newcomers Club were You Shook Me All Night Long (AC/DC), In The Army Now (Status Quo - with the words changed to In The Air Force Now by the local wits), Walk Like An Eygptian (The Bangles).
