One of the comments made at the end of the artical said that he was in the wrong job, he should have been an asylum seeker, which is true he would have been better looked after, rather than fighting for his country for 18 yrs.

Goes to show once again we have donkeys in charge of lions

These Gurkahs are some of the most dedicated and loyal service men around and how does our government repay them.???????????

May as well just stick a knife in the guys back???????
This is a ridiculous buy off as pie sandwich said hed be better treated claiming asylum.

It is shocking and i hope he wins his dismissal case, took them long enough to get a decent pension but this is a new low.

And what else have we come to expect of our lords and masters? I'll bet the top brass in the MoD don't lose a brass cent of their pensions - I'd rather the bloody Gurkhas get it than the spineless 'yes men' we have as staff officers.

Lord Garden will be turning in his grave...

HOW THE HELL DOES THIS WORK.

I have seen waste of space, time served guys who have never done an out of area, have an accident/medic out and get a full pension.

This guy gets the back of his leg shot off and £100 covers it.

What a bunch of WAN*ERS.

A fooking disgrace if its true.

Somebody start lining politicians up against the wall, and pass me a rifle.

Pass me the rifle first please, preferably with expanding rounds.

As an ancient I can remember my uncle, a WW1 vet from Gallipoli and other nasty places, saying that the soldier who befriended a Gurkha would have a friend for life. Time the lazy, overpaid paper shufflers recognised that.

Civil servants - uncivil parasites.

A rare situation, after reading the article I was at a complete loss for words. I'd like one of the spineless cnuts to come on the telly and try to justify this unbelievable treatment. Fcukers should be hung.:pDT_Xtremez_32:

I think this fella sums it up quite nicely

So there is no money for a man who was prepared to protect this country with his life, but we are quite capable of giving money away to foreign nationals who want to blow us up.

When will we learn to respect those who deserve it, and get rid of or imprison those who don’t.
