Just been informed that Jobsworth is closed for a couple of weeks due to no toilets, running water (apart from whats on the floor) etc could cause a few problems (only what I was just told dony know the full extent as i cannot get a boat to get there)

Been watching the lunchtime news today and it really does look bad for some parts. Here's hoping it gets sorted quickly.

My in-laws set off from Lincoln to Bristol at 1300hrs on Friday. After spending the night in their car on the M5, they got to Bristol about 20 hours later.

If there is a call for volunteers from the military for the clear-up, I'll be first in the queue.

The 1200hrs Police presser gave some rather worrying details about the water supply, saying that it could very well be 7-14 days before the Mythe pumping station is "fully operational".

Not sure how 'operational' the system needs to be to resume water treatment, but doesn't sound particularly promising.

Just had a quick chat with Innsworth comms bods, they are knackered after spending half the night sandbagging power stations. They have no water and no power now.

Where do Sky TV get there info from?.

A few days back they said two MCA Sikorsky's from Lee-on-Solent were assisting in the flood hit areas. Not that LOS has two S61's!.

It was in fact only one S61 based at Portland.

I just read there that Jobsworth has closed cause of no toilets and water , sob bloody sob , i just got back from 10 weeks in the sunny climates of Omar where we endured 2 weeks with rationed bottle water, no air con , toilets etc after a Cyclone yet were were still asked to do a 12 hour shift to keep the mighty jets flying

If they closed up the base then get the zobbits to get the cs 95 on and help the local area

My ex in her infinite wisdom (lives in cheltenham) has decided to take my son to my mothers (lives in brum) and I now have to pick him up from their on saturday. Whats the problem I here you all cry.

I cant stand my ex and im not exactly on speaking terms with my mom either!!
