Without wishing to sound unkind JiT, every time I’ve landed at a U.K. airport I’ve spent sometimes up to an hour waiting in line at a passport control (worst was at JFK outside New York, 3 frickin’ hours!).

Nothing new under the sun.

Expect it to get worse. I think I've got some Irish blood, so I'll be applying for an Irish passport.

I landed in Munich on Thursday morning and still used the electronic machines, no issues at all, straight through

It’s not, that’s why I said outside New York. Read much! My point is that it doesn’t matter which airport you go there are always queues at some of them. Brexit don’t mean jack, you pony faced lying dog soldier. Now, screw the crap about airports, what about the fact the EU has suddenly discovers a massive hole in their finances?

Don't they have 5 year budgets in the EU? That headline figure is probably the gross UK contribution over the period Jan 21-Dec 23 (co-incidentally 3 years @ £350m per week - as per Boris's Bus - equates to £54Bn). Although its a headline-grabbing amount for Brexiteers, once the EU don't give the UK its grants and rebates, it will be a black hole of around £24 Bn, which will be the three years net non-contributions made for the rest of the budget period (The figure Boris didn't have on his bus)

I doubt the £39 Bn divorce bill (the money we are giving the EU in return for nothing back) has been included in the budget, as I don't believe it has yet been decided how and when that will be paid.

The EU hasn't suddenly discovered a massive hole in its finances. They've seen it coming a long way off, but now it's hit home. Either the net payers, eg Germany, will have to pay more, an idea that is not well received, or the scroungers benefiters will have to do with less, also an idea that does not go down well.
Oh dear, life is so hard.

When you factor in the parlous state of some of the countries within the EU, Greece, Portugal and Italy for instance; I can only foresee a most entertaining decade.

Perhaps the EU should have watched the original Star Wars film (1977]. The scene where Princess Leia is having a chat with Tarkin.

“The more star systems you try to hold in your hand the more systems will slip through your fingers”.

There will come a ‘tipping point’ when the taxpayers of France and Germany become tired of the rest of the EU countries constantly holding their hands out for more money. More EU is definitely NOT the answer.

The EU made a decision to not offer any concessions to David C, that decision has consequences.

Is that apart from the Emergency Brake on migration and the suspension of benefits paid to EU nationals for a period of up to 4 years, with a possibility of extension to 7 years that was negotiated by Dave prior to the referendum?

Just think, if we had voted "No", every migrant arriving since 23 June 2016 would have had no benefits paid to them, no social housing gifted to them etc. I wonder how much has been shelled out to them in the intervening 4 years, and will continue to be shelled out to all arrivals up to 31 December.

If you read your link it says that might be a possibility, not that it would happen, as the poor countries would have to agree to it, it certainly wouldn’t have been in place by Jun 16 and it would probably be overturned by the courts.
