Off to Florida at the weekend, can anyone recommend any particularly nice places to eat on I Drive, ones that go beyond the typical chain restaurant.

Oh yeh and wife is a veggie.

There is a motor sports place next to the I drive heliport that does good food. Big monster truck out side.

If you get a timetable/route map for the I-Drive trolley bus system there's a Greek Restaurant called Opa http://www.opaorlando.com/home.php The map is good because it also lists places to eat/drink the length of I-Drive.

We eat there twice, it was good food and good value for Florida.

If you go to Downtown Disney I would avoid the Rainforest Cafe, it was too gimicky, the service was very poor and the food was no great shakes.

If you go to universal try http://www.margaritavilleorlando.com/#

If you are after a hire car look at http://www.rentalcars.com/

if you rent from Alamo show ID card or proof of being a Vet they normally upgrade or do a deal for you.

a good show is http://www.universalorlando.com/Shows/Blue-Man-Group.aspx?__source=print.bmg.blueman BUT buy your tickets from http://www.onlineticketstore.co.uk/Index.aspx before you go price is good and seats are good.
