Andy Moss will be walking the Freedom Trail to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/ctnsldr66
Andy will be one of 10 determined trekkers accepting the challenge of a lifetime: to re-live the hike that 38,000 civilians and 18,000 service men made across the Pyrenees. The challenge takes place from the 8th to 15th July 2014 and covers 50 miles reaching heights of 2,600 metres. It is a fantastic experience that tests strength and resilience in every way, shape and form. Tough training is required: they will be trekking across snowfields, negotiating gigantic granite boulders and climbing up to soaring heights in varying climates while carrying all of their own equipment. The trek starts over the River Salat in Saint Girons and finishes on the Spanish border in Esterri d’Aneu. Along the way trekkers get the opportunity to visit memorial sites and take in the beauty of the Pyrenees and its breathtaking views.
