This whole "fuster kluk" is similar to what the Yanks went through with the Bradley MICV many moons ago. A useless bag of bolts that was totally unfit. They sold to Israel who refused to accept it until a whole $hit load of mods were carried out, surprisingly by a Yank sub-contractor. Eventually it was accepted by the Yanks after all the mods demanded by Israel were fitted. There was a tv movie about with Kelsy Crammer as the US Army general in charge of the project who was eventually charged and convicted of fraud, wasting federal funds etc and spent several years in Levenworth military 'chokie'.

Happy days it's all ok folks, it's fixed, it's brilliant, it's entering service what could possiby go wrong with the Army's fabulous new tank thats only a decade or so late.

Oh dear it's not fixed after all and now it maybe 2029 before it is in service. Poor contract terms, ferquent spec changes, nothing new there then for the MOD

"Defence consultant Francis Tusa said: 'The company have got the Ministry of Defence over a barrel as they know that, contractually, the MOD are stuffed."

"'General Dynamics UK can point to the 1,200 changes to the specification of the vehicle which senior officers insisted upon, as a major reason for the delays."

Maybe as a stop gap until 2029 the MOD can source or LPO some oldie classic decommissioned tracked metal armour from places like Bovington Tank Museum or The Muckleburgh Collection?.....I'm serious.....I really am!.....

Oh alright....I'm not being serious.....Again nobody ever takes blame or responsibility, it is laughable and at the MOD absolutely nothing seems to change.....
