Anyone able to tell me how officers promotion on the JO side of things works in the RAuxAF?

Do you just stay at PO until you reach the pay point for Fg Off (currently pay point 6 on the OF1 scale), same for Fg Off do you work your way through the paypoints until you hit point 10 then get made Flt Lt?

It's open ended. You negotiiate seniority with Cranwell based upon experience, education and previous service. You will know hown much ou are going to get and what rank you will emerge at during training - I got lucky, and had an excellent sponsor. Others, not so much.

So how does a post phase 1 Plt Of progress to a Fg Off or do they spend their auggie career as a Plt Of?

It's on time from 0-4 years and seniority awarded as far as I recall. Most of the blokes I came through with were POs on graduation and had a few to do. You get seniority for uni, for time served, for previous time served.
