Allowing beards simply isn't enough for Wiggy's woke warrior wing, there's now a full on push for "Vegan" working uniform.

What's it gonna be? Out with the old, in with Hessian trousers and Hemp shirts? Leather shoes and boots will become a thing of the past no doubt. (Probably made from recycled apple and banana skins)

Reduce the use of plastics is not really bad idea but I can't see how to get rid of it completely in a military unifom ensemble. If we go with natural fibres all round cotton and wool clothing etc then it's back in time to hairy Mary jackets and no more gortex.
Woolen waterproof shoes. https://www.allbirds.co.uk/products/mens-wool-dasher-mizzles
If all the WRAF's went commando that would save a few yards of material.
