The resettlement course that teaches you this is very good, and you get an excellent book on it.
I wrote my own, never had a problem. I have a good friend that works as the head of HR for a very large retailer, she looked it over and was impressed with the way we were taught to do it. She also said that professional CV's stand out a mile and she doesn't read them. If someone can't be bothered to write a CV then she don't want them.
Honestly they are really not that hard to do, once you do the course.
