Description

This newly launched course is designed to provide a sound foundation to the fundamental elements of environmental management. It has quickly become a very popular addition to the NEBOSH National General Certificate, or it can be taken as a stand-alone certificate.

This certificate is aimed at responsible people who make day to day decisions on environmental matters. No previous environmental management knowledge is required but candidates should note the assessment includes a written report, after the course is completed.

The syllabus takes a risk management approach, based on best practice and international industry standards:


  • Environmental management systems and impact assessments;
  • Sources and use of energy and energy efficiency;
  • Control of pollution;
  • Planning for and dealing with environmental emergencies.
