If the fog is so bad that you need foglights on is it clear enough to drive at 70mph on the M18 and M1?

Do Amazon sell after market RADAR for cars?

-6 in the wilds of Aberdeen shire today and there are still half-wits driving around with that little slit of windscreen cleared, no lights on and driving like black ice doesn't exist.
We've had 2 cars in the fields leading to my house this weekend and a few close shaves.
Some cockwombles forget about driving to the conditions

Whilst the conditions are a bit woolly in places, it does seem like we have gone completely bonkers in some parts of the country over a bit of a cold snap. Here in the SW the schools have delayed start this morning until 1030, until conditions improve. All that was forecast was a frost and maybe, at worst, -2. This morning there is a frost but nothing else. WTF did the schools need to start almost 2 hours later for a frost?

I remember reading an old article by Jeremy Clarkson, and he said that as soon as you put front or rear fog lights on, your speed should automatically be restricted to 10mph, cos that's the max speed you should be doing if those lights are required.

Front fogs shine at the side and middle of the road, directly in front of you, to enable you to follow the road,.

In theory, they should be used less than indicators on a Beemer!
