Staffing Yorkshire coast cold war bunkers, doesn't appear to be the most exciting job ever, but somebody had to do it. For more than 20 years, the green plains of Holderness, East Yorkshire, were the secret location of underground bunker RAF Holmpton, where radars watched the skies amid the threat of the Cold War.

The bungalow entrance is the spitting image of the one outside Neat's R3. Must have used the same plans on every site.

Use to make me laugh when I came home from Kinloss seeing the Welcome sign to Manchester having a Nuclear Free Zone. Helps knowing the council had their priorities sorted having their own bunker in town.:pDT_Xtremez_16:
