Civilians on MAMS

Well it's started to happen, after the restructuring of UKMAMS to 1AMW (Air Mobility Wing or Adrian Maddox Wing) the civvies are on the horizon...

All Muppets know that there aren't enough of them to cover the tasks so what do those in charge do...

1. Have a recruitment drive
2. Post in from some other units
3. Employ cheap civvies to do Base duties and send everyone else away

you guessed it lads & lasses, The Civvies are coming....

Have heard conflicting numbers but 30-40 should be about right which means more people released to do 6weeks in one sh*thole and then 6weeks in another one, don't hold out much hope for Morale or Retention as morale is already going through the floor and PVR's are going through the roof...

UKMAMS - RIP

Everyone else has had civvies doing there jobs for years . Dont worry its called modernisation and progress. At least youll all be able to pvr and get a civvie job on the same pay without doing guard and ooa not to forget no compulsory pt or ccs.
